Broadband is measured in megabits per second. mbps for short. The higher mbps there are, the faster the broadband is.
Download speed refers to the maximum rate at which you can receive data whereas upload speed is the maximum rate data can be sent. Typically, a faster download speed means a better experience for your customers with download speed helping you work and study online as well as meet all of your online streaming demands.
Upload speed refers to the things you send out such as social media updates, making video calls, sending emails or backing up data on the cloud. Upload speeds do tend to be considerably lower than download speeds because the amount of data we upload are typically a lot less.
Internet speed is measured in megabits per second and the higher number of mbps you have, the quicker your internet connection should be.
A higher mbps should mean that downloads complete quicker, streaming of videos or music happens without a hitch, video calls and gaming is smooth and webpages load with ease.
Business broadband tends to be in mbps but, if you’re looking for a connection that’s even quicker, full fibre Ethernet (or a Leased Line) is 1gbps – that’s equivalent to 1000mbps. Now that’s fast.
When it comes to business broadband, you can offer your customers a variety of options. However, with Daisy Partner Business we only offer the very best solutions with vendors we know and trust.
With us, you can offer your customers ultrafast fibre broadband with download options of 150mbps or 300mbps or you can choose SoGEA with 40mbps or 80mbps download speeds with an upload speed of 20mbps.
Both ultrafast fibre broadband and SoGEA are also perfect options to prepare your customers for the PSTN Switch Off.
However, if your customers are wanting an even faster connectivity solution, we also offer a variety of Ethernet and leased line options.
Symmetrical upload and download speeds do what they say on the tin – you get a connection with equal upload and download speeds.
For example with a 200/200mbps internet connection, you’ll get 200mbps download speed and 200mbps upload speed.
If the connection is asymmetrical, the upload and download speeds will be different.
Leased Line FAQs
It’s entirely dependent on which Leased Line service they’re looking for and which option is suitable for their business.
At Daisy Partner Business, we offer several Leased Line solutions from full fibre Ethernet to MPLS.
If you’re unsure, one of our specialist team will be able to help you, just get in touch and we’ll call you back.
A dedicated line, such as a leased line, provides a fast, reliable connection for your business.
In fact, a dedicated line gives you guaranteed speeds and service levels as well as vastly improved fix times, enabling your business to embrace technology and get the most out of bandwidth-hungry applications.
A dedicated line also reduces hardware and maintenance costs as well as eliminating contention problems and reducing downtime.
Whether its Ethernet or one of our other products, partners can expect to receive expert customer service from a dedicated team on hand to support with both partner and customer queries.
Our customer services agents are on hand to deal with all front-line enquiries and resolve them.
It’s simple, if they want the fastest, most reliable internet connection then a leased line is the one they should choose.
A leased line gives customers guaranteed speeds and, if they need it, a solid link between offices and/or sites.
